Does Sequim Middle School lunch trash affect the rest of the planet?

The Objectives

Research the type and amount of lunch trash SMS generates

What negative (or positive) impact does this trash have on the rest of our planet?

Develop strategies to reduce trash

Promote a campaign among fellow students to reduce trash

The Task (part 1)

For the first assignment, you and a partner will take this "Trash Knowledge Treasure Hunt." Keep in mind as you search that you will eventually be making a newspaper, creating posters and brochures or developing a Power Point presentation on "Garbage Rot or Garbage Not". This will help start your research.

The Process

You and your partner will have one class period (45 min.) to find and answer as many questions as possible. Use the form provided and the hyperlinks below and no other web site or search engine at this time. Suggestions: Read all the questions first.
