How "Technical" is your Home?

GRADE LEVEL: 2 - 8

Introductory Information:
Technology is ever increasing in our world and there has been an influx of technology in use in homes in just the past 15 years. Students will investigate the types of technology used in their homes and compare the data with other areas on the globe. Comparisons will be made between geographical areas as well as differentiation from 10 years ago to today.

Time Commitment Summary:
Pre-week One: Send in applications
Week One: Download survey questionnaire and have students complete it.
Week Two: Compile classroom data and enter it on a spreadsheet.
Week Three: Exchange data with other classrooms.
Week Four: Enter new data into the spreadsheet and begin to graph and analyze data.
Week Five: Discuss graphs and charts. Write statements about conclusions drawn from the data. Share findings with other participating classrooms.
